Ok I have searched the forum and the internet and still haven't found a clear answer. It looks like the high beam headlight and DRL are the same bulb.

From what I've found out I think it's a HB3 bulb. Can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks, Christian

Yes, HB3, also known as 9005 halogen bulbs.

No, the same bulb is used for both DRL, at reduced current, and highbeam, at full current/wattage.

Those LEDs you linked are rated at only 550 lumens, Ok for DRLs, but not for highbeam use. A 9005 halogen bulb is rated at 1700 lumens.

I'm afraid those have this disclaimer:

Note: This 9005 LED bulb is not designed for headlight illumination purpose, you can only use it for fog light or daytime light.

These look like a close match to what you are looking for:

20W High Power LED Conversion Kit For Fog or Even Headlights Upgrades

The DRL module is actually a green relay inside the main fuse box. It pulses a square wave output to the bulb to get the decreased output for DRL. The brightness is supposedly varied dependent on the ambient light sensor. You might need an error cancelling wiring kit to avoid any DTCs, but this is basically an added resistor to fool the system into thinking a normal bulb is there. If you go this route to avoid any error codes then you will not be saving much/any energy as the resistor will use up some, if not all, of the power savings going LED.

(When LEDs first came out, there was a company called Jam Strait that I purchased LED replacement bulbs from. They would not warranty signal use as this would decrease the lifespan of the LED. I'm not sure if this is still true with newer LED technology, but that pulsing relay doesn't sound promising if it is still a concern for LEDs.)
