    Hello everyone...
I haven't posted on this forum for a long time.

The rubber seal at the bottom of the driver's window on my 2006 Prius was crunched in and cracked by some guy slipping business cards into car windows. In my case, he tried to slide the card in... the seal was too tight, so he forced it in, causing a crack in the rubber (about a foot) and then left the crumpled card in the door. (Gave that company a piece of my mind on the phone).
So, replacement of that seal, according to my Toyota dealer is going to set me back about $150. This stinks because of where I park in Hollywood(the dodgy part), I know this sort of thing is going to happen again.

So my question to the forum: Has anyone out there replaced this rubber strip? Did you do it yourself, VW Service, independent service?
Did it cost $150 for parts and labour?

Right now I have electrical tape holding the seal in place so there isn't a huge gap between the exterior door edge and the driver's window.

Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.
