This is a 2012 Gen 3 Prius. I just replaced the battery pack from Hybrid Reconditioners and started Dr. Prius. Got this upon starting the car. Doesn't look like a good sign. I sent the info to the vendor and am waiting for some feedback. I still have the P0A80 code. Along with PO3016. Dr. Prius made note: Blocks 6 and 8 are suspect. Is this a bad pack? The small green row is, "Cumulative delta voltage" (0.41. 0.44, 0.41, 0.42. 0.45, 2.13**, 0.30, 3.17**, 0.42, 037, 0.39, 0.41, 0.39, and 0.37). Banks 6 and 8 are the high numbers. The small blue line is, "Internal Resistance. unit: milli=ohm". (all 0.19) Update: They will be sending me blocks 6 and 8 cells, balanced to my current setup. We'll see how this works. Will the Prius have to go through a few drive cycles for the P0A80 to disappear?
I see it's a gen 3 what is the car say about this and what is the number or numbers under that long red line I've never seen that line that long usually the line is non-existent It's just a little red thing and says how low volts it is 7.1 6.9 whatever I can't see those numbers because your picture doesn't enlarge or it when it does it's very poor quality obviously.
What is the number under the long red line as opposed to the numbers under all the green lines I guess that one block or module or whatever is extremely low for some reason
I don't understand the post. The resistance is constant at .19 mv for all cells. It's the voltage that varies a bit between most of them. Two blocks, 6 and 8 are significantly out of whack.
That's why they will be replaced. Anything past this with the vendor and the whole battery goes back. I'll invest a few more hours on this.
This is so true. And everyday the assortment of used modules are getting older. Eventually these "Restorers" won't have many serviceable modules to choose from. There is not way to 'recondition' a module because you can't see the individual cells within these modules. There is no way to predict the life of an old module, only hopes and dreams.
If the refurbished HV battery was just purchased and is covered by a warranty, why are you trying to fix it? Take it back to the company that you bought it from.
