So my Prius V touring just passed 8000k...in the manual it states for an oil and filter service. But no service light has come on. I haven't had a car without a service light in a while....anyone care to chime in?

Yes you will get a light but the oil change is at 10,000 miles. KM should be around 16,093. However they also want to rotate tires and look it over at 5,000 mile (8,046 KM) intervals.

You are probably not quite there for the tire rotation. Sometime the light just flashes on for a moment in the top right corner. Pretty sure it stays on for oil changes.

The Canadian brochure states the first oil change is at 8,000KM. And I also see that in the Main Manual, "Maint Req'd" light has a '(USA)' text under it.

Seems odd but you probably have the exact same car they have in Cutbank Montana but the Canadian dealers want you in twice as often. I did see a post where the interval was half of 10k when you use non-synthetic oil. Seems you should call your dealer.
