This is what my 2017 Prius Prime engine bay now looks after a cleaning. No water pressure, just a wet cloth and a... toothbrush for the different creases.

I keep the engine bay clean of our 2017 prime. Pressure washer with a wide spray then I take a leaf blower and dry everything out in a manner of minutes.

As an extra step I suggest removing the front plastic cover, its held in with pop-out pin's You press down on the center and pin pop'-up.

I under here to apply some rust proofing and clean the front hood latch and regrease. Will in here i noticed at the front of radiator there is v-shape plastic cavity that traps, leaves small rocks and dirty. I vacuumed the big stuff out then remove the underbody skirt at front of the car and used a hose to wash off everything and unplug the draining passages.

I clean out this entire area, also removing all the bugs squashed in the radiator grill.

Oh wow, thanks for letting me know.

This is what mine looked like

Once cleaned, rust was very visible around the holes and edges

    After I applied Fluid Film

I'll check next spring and if the rust gets worse, I'll apply OPSHO.

Excellent stuff !. Glad I could help.

In my engine bay I put a thin coat of fluid film on all the exposed metal parts, including the ground to chassis cable connections.

An other area that if neglected is under that 12 volt battery. remove the it, out goes the plastic tray and there are a few places that require fluid firm in the space below.
