So when we bought the gen1 prius the owner lost the fob but we had the car for 6 months and never needed it,even after replacing battery but for some reason the alarm randomly went off tiwice the past 2 days really late,I read that I can place the key in the ignition and turn the key from "off" to "run" and do this 5 times too disable alarm is this true?If not is there a fuse I can remove?or maybe if I take off the hood latch switch this would trick the alarm into thinking hoods not closed and the alarm wont arm thus disabling it?
