    DIGITAL FUEL MIZER

You will hear a gentle alert if you begin to accelerate or brake too harshly. If your vehicle is operated inefficiently, you will hear the alert, and see the rising light bar.

    No installation other than mounting.

    Anyone try it?

I get similar results using the consumption screen on the MFD.

Agreed. But anything that provides feedback is good. And at the very least an audio warning wouldn't take your gaze off the road.

A similar idea idea was given given in a 1960's Readers Digest:
"Put a cowbell on the back passenger floor. If you exceed sensible limits it will bong"

The price of the mizer is pretty good at US$12.95 - probably cheaper than a cow-bell.

I tried the cow bell, but the extra weight from the cow canceled any gain I got from careful driving.

So since there is no wiring of the unit to the vehicle, it is just an accelerometer.

The price is $69.95 not $12.95. Add $12.50 for shipping. Totally not worth it!
