So this past weekend I went to the annual Camarillo Air Show, and it was very nice- lot's of fun, and lot's of Prii were to be seen! My new avatar is my Prius under the wing of my grandpa's Cessna. I had taken many different angles, and got some GREAT shots, but then I left my digital camera in the car, and I guess the heat wiped out my memory card! I have had this happen once before- and I was so sad! I knew the members of priuschat would have loved them! Luckily my grandma took a couple with her camera, so here is one for you folks revision- I tried to upload a larger version, but pc wont let me, so hope you enjoy the new avatar

heat destroyed the card?? or the data on the card?? never heard of the latter happening but the card yes. ive seen em warp before.
Car heat, or any high temperature is also not good for a motorized digital camera lens. I found out the hard way, leaving our then new camera in the center console. Luckily it was repaired under warranty.
when i was doing modeling.. iheard that if you don't reformat after every use, a similar effect can happen when it sits. I have never had this issue, but many i've worked with have. I wouldn't say it's the heat.. that's a little strange.. maybe it is a format issue? i still never re format my cards
