Here is a link to my site with photos showing the installation of the DICE module in my 2007 Prius Touring with Navigation (no XM or Sirius).

The other topic was getting rather full so I thought I'd start a fresh one here just on installation. The job took me about an hour once I mapped out a plan after studying the components and reading all the posts. It's pretty slick I must say. Yes, the known issues are there but having control via the Prius radio is very cool.

I hope you find the photos useful. Your results may vary :)

    Regards, Jeff

Thanks for the post. I'm hoping will be very helpful. I'm planning on installing the Dice adaptor on my '07 touring edition w/Nav (I had the Dice for my 2001 330 bmw and it was great). I spoke w/ a contact from a Dice reseller (formerly Dension tech support) and he could not confirm the Dice worked w/ the '07 w/ Nav. Can you confirm everything works as it should? I've been holding off but am anxious to get it done.

Yup, seems to work as advertised. Other posts have stated similar odd issues as I have noticed. Sometimes the display doesn't update but if you select another menu item then reselect the audio menu it tends to refresh correctly. Sometimes the volume does seem distorted (overmodulated) but this appears to be content-dependent because it's fine on some songs. I haven't formed any specific opinion as to why yet, but I'm still getting used to it.

The link to the photos will be dead soon because Apple is killing iWeb. Since this is older technology now I figure that's not going to cause anyone grief. If anyone wants the photos, please send me a private message and I'll forward.

Hi- my mechanic let me try out the DICE Mediabridge on my 07 Touring. I have a 160 GB iPod with over 1300 albums on it. Navigation from Artist>Album>Song is like navigating blind. I have to believe I am either doing something wrong or have the wrong unit installed.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Sorry Mike. We sold our '07 a few years back and got an early 2010.

If you have an 07, I would recommend a viastech module if you can afford it. I don't have one (I have a dice mediabridge) but it seems to have much better features, such as the ablity to organize everything into playlist and navigate via playlists more easily.

I have an 05 with Nav, no satellite, so I chose the mediabridge. It was $150 at walmart, and seemed to be the best bang for the buck. The nav in 05 is somewhat crippled compared to 06 and on, so spending more than that wouldn't have really gotten me anything. The device seems to slow down the navigation of the audio components on the MFD very much, the song info flickers as it scrolls, and there are various and sundry little things like that that make it less than Ideal, but my wife can skip songs on spotify and pandora, as well as use the bluetooth. Once she gets a phone with Siri she'll be able to text, call, etc with voice commands.
