does the engine run? how far can it go?

 

Which battery did you replace, the 12v or the larger HV?

Best not to try starting the vehicle until you have a better idea of what the issue(s) are.

Are you sure the vehicle is running for 30 seconds, and not attempting to start/turn over the engine for 10 seconds before it gives up/dies?

When was your 12v battery replaced or last serviced, and what does the voltage measure when using a voltmeter or multimeter?

Have you checked all of the fuses inside the cabin (under the steering), and under the front hood near the driver side wheel?

You may notice in the above workup for DTC C1241 (and some of the other workups listed below), the mention of a "detailed code" (to the right of the DTC). Knowing any INFs (detail codes or subcodes) may help isolate the issue within the workup for a reported DTC.

Within techstream, click on any bluish snowflake(s) to the left of a reported DTC(s) to find the INF or detail code (sub code) for a given DTC. Not all DTCs (OBD2 codes) will have INFs (subcodes).

Assuming it was the 12v battery, then you should also clean the throttle body (and MAF sensor), unless this was recently performed.

When you disconnect or replace the 12v, this will reset the learned fuel mapping to the factory default settings.

How many miles are on the vehicle?

 

Did you do that already? (use a toothbrush dipped in rubbing alcohol or wodka to clean the plate and throttle bore, takes like 15 seconds)

Do you have MAF cleaner handy?

The engine isn't actually starting, it is only draining the HV battery while it spins the engine over in an attempt to start it.

The MAF spray is for cleaning the MAF sensor, remove the sensor to spray both the 'bulb' and the 'wires'.

Best to run another scan with techstream, as you should have a DTC for a 'no start' condition. Post the current DTCs in this thread.

 

Odd that this is the only code being stored, are you doing the 'health check' ?

If you've cleaned the throttle plate and surrounding bore, and cleaned up the MAF sensor by spraying it with MAF cleaner (links above), then disconnect the 12v to reset the fuel trims again, reconnect the 12v, and attempt to start it one last time. It will take two tries to start since you've disconnected the 12v, the first try offers a bunch of warning lights on the dash, power cycle it off, then try to start it a second time.

Realize that the SOC for the HV battery on the MFD will no longer be accurate, and will offer you a false sense of hope.

If it doesn't start, then run another scan to see if you have additional codes being stored.

 

you may have to recharge the hv battery. are you not getting any snowflakes for sub codes?
