I am currently in the market for a Prius 2010 package 3 without navigation. Since I don't really like confrontation and the whole face-to-face negotiation (and I admit I'm a little lazy), I'm trying to work out a deal via email/phone before wasting my time going into a showroom and negotiating with a dealer for hours. Anyway, after talking to one lady, she was saying that invoice price was around $22700. I told her that I saw the price on Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book was $21411. That's over $1000 what Edmunds lists. She, however, invited me to come in and see the invoice from Toyota. Am I being duped? And/or can they fake the invoice sheet (what does it even look like?)?
I don't think Toyota will give you the invoice on their website. However your dealer will usually show you the invoice for a particular car. The differences in Edmunds and kbb usually are in the advertising fees and some other items that Edmunds explains on their site. However with the Edmunds invoice printed out you should be able to determine the differences.
