Deciding to purchase a 2010 Prius was the fun part - the hard part is (usually) the actual purchase. I must have emailed at least 20 dealers looking for someone who wouldn't charge $1500 more than MSRP and/or add on lots of accessories that I didn't need, and/or have to "check with the manager", etc. etc .

So thank you Dianne for treating us as customers with respect and courtesy! I got my package II winter grey Prius, 1 mile on the odometer, no bogus "dealer fees", no unwanted extras. In and out in a little under 2 hours, would have been quicker except that she had to show me some of the intricacies of the car (I'm upgrading from a 1994 Accord).

On the way to Manhattan Beach I drove past multiple other dealers, and if I had wanted I imagine I could have used Dianne's price to bargain down other dealers, but that seems unfair to the honest dealer who just puts out a fair price. Besides which, who knows what sort of additional "fees" may have appeared at the end.

So if you've had a good experience please post where you purchased your Prius! Let's support those dealers that treat us fairly and make our lives so much easier!

I'm glad you got a good deal! I'm in New York City, and so far, 2 dealerships have $2,000 over MSRP plus additional accessories they won't remove to lower the price. The 3rd Dealership I went to pre-order told me June 27th it would be available, but no promises, which raised some concern because they wont back it up on paper. Hopefully I'll find a good one and add to this post!

Great idea for a thread! I am hoping soon to be able to post a "good report" on Koons Toyota in Vienna Virginia . . . we'll see.

You can add Earl Stewart in North Palm Beach FL. Purchased 2010 Prius II at MSRP with no dealer fees and the only add on was floor mats.

No hassle and no hard sell from the Finance Manager.

    Very professional dealership.

Do Not Pay Over MSRP and Get a Vin # and Dates in Writing,
Or offer to rent a car for 300 - 400 a month until yours comes in.
    Hope This Helps

Good idea. The dealers who treat their customers right, deserve to be rewarded with more business. I'm hoping to add Liberty Toyota in Colorado Springs in a couple weeks. As Pakman said, "we'll see...."

I'm picking up my Prius at Koons Toyota in Vienna, VA on June 24th according to Abel, the internet salesman. I put a $1,000 deposit down and told that I would get the cost $500 under MSRP because of the deposit back in May. I hope to post the dealership experience in a couple of weeks or so.

I've got to give kudos to Dianne as well - bought 2 other cars from her when she was @ Carson. Fair deals both time. Sadly, she was between dealerships around the time when it was Prius Priority decision time around Jan-Feb. That and the out of state implications had me searching locally this time around.

That being said, I'm very glad I chose Avondale Toyota here in the Phoenix valley. While sadly all dealers in the Phoenix valley partake in a fixed doc fee, theirs is the lowest. In the Phoenix Valley, they also offer the lowest sales tax rate (7.8%). Their Gen II cars remained at (or below when conditions allowed) MSRP when other stores in the valley were demanding forced overpriced dealer options or dealer markups well above MSRP. This practice continues as the 2010's are arriving. Avondale gets MSRP + whatever port installed options arrived on the car. No overpriced tint, no leather or paint guard, no alarm, etc. (unless you really want them).

Best part of Avondale is the One Price, One Person treatment. You get the same person from questions to signatures. No "finance department", no 2-3 sales guys to grind you down - just an honest square deal with one person. Not ready to buy? There was no pressure when I was in just looking at paint colors. Didn't feel once like I needed to walk away.

So I guess this is a double kudos response ;)

When I get to a point where I can afford a new Prius I'll definately look Dianne up. I don't mind driving to SoCal for a new car. :)

Big thanks to Albert at Power Toyota Cerritos. He found a way to take out some of the port installed accessories I didn't need. Other dealers said that couldn't be done, but Albert made it happen. I paid MSRP with no bogus fees. Just wish the CA tax & license fees weren't so high.

He also made sure that only the technician would drive my Gen III before I picked it up. I thought it was nice that they hid my car from the other customers.

Agreed. I jumped ship from another dealer to buy from Dianne and will hopefully be flying down to LA from SF to pick up my new car in a week or two. I'm the kind of guy that likes to wait until the transaction is completed before giving much feedback but so far I am much happier with Dianne and hope to add a great big "thank you" post to this thread in the near future.

I bought my Prius from David Coleman at Toyota Sunnyvale. Great customer service, no B.S add-ons, fees, or mark-ups--they sell below MSRP.

Honestly, the best car buying experience I've had.

Well I got my car last weekend and I can highly recommend going with Dianne. She kept me informed, got me exactly what I wanted for exactly the price quoted and she's super nice! I hope you all have the same car buying experience as me.

Oh yeah and the 2010 rocks - but I guess you knew that already.

    Cheers!

I will throw a shout out to Jabber at Pauly Toyota from Crystal Lake, IL. Real good guy, gave me honest info, and treated me extremely well. Only negative, is that he is unable to bend time and space to get my prius in sooner. :p

I am getting my car from Dianne too! She found me a Package V without AT in the exact color I wanted. Very rare but she did it :D My car should be at the dealership this week.

This is a great thread. I have to mention Milton at Lakeside Toyota in Metairie, LA. Immediately gave me a decent offer on my trade and sold me my 2010 at well below MSRP.

We had a great experience with Bill Page Toyota off Arlington Boulevard in Falls Church, VA. Jeong, our salesman, and Brian, the sales manager, were a pleasure to deal with. I lucked out, and the dealer just happened to have the exact car I wanted sitting on the lot unspoken for.

I agree on everything positive that has been said about Dianne. She got me the exact car I wanted, and the price was fair. No fuzziness like you get from other dealers.

Jane at Manhattan Beach (Assistant to Dianne) was the one that helped us get the deal processed and going, she knew everything about the Prius, and then some. That alone should tell you that they are keen on the Prius Buyers... they aren't just some joe schmoe car sales people.

Two thumbs up to both of them.

    So if you want...
    - Gives you the facts, Only the facts.
    - Fair pricing
    - Gives you updates on your car.
    - Returns your phone calls <<<---- Bonus
    - Treats you with respect.

Then you should definitely call them up and see about making an offer.

Bought my Prius IV EXACTLY as I wanted it (without NAV in Barcelona Red) from Bredemann Toyota in Park Ridge IL. Paid MSRP for it. Nina was great although I couldn't coax her to go another $250 on my 2005 Prius on my trade in.

Financing with Tran was a no hassle transaction.

    Good job.

BTW, I had this vehicle on order from my "regular" Toyota dealer, Libertyville Toyota for over a year (bought my last FIVE cars from them) and after calling them for a "what's up with my new Prius and when will it be shipped", I am still waiting for a phone call from them.

Russ from Libertyville Toyota, you have lost your fourth sale from me and other family members because you refuse to return our calls.

Too bad...I like the service department and the dealership overall.
