    • Volt-2 and Volt-1 - the new Volt and inventory clean-up did good.
    • e-Golf - nearly doubled sales, well done.
    • model year changes may explain some sales number variations

So - what happens in 2050? But I noted the rav4ev on the chart too. Zero sales during the prior months. Wondering & thinking that this was maybe the very last one? That's a sad Toyota post script. And whoo hoo! Model X already moving out from last place ..... only it seems like the web chatter was that there were at least a dozen deliveries. maybe not?
EDIT: Oh - now I remember 2050 ... no more gas cars .... I think down the road Toyota will say, we meant no 'gasoline' cars - because if they're still trying to make their natural gas to hydrogen project take off .....
    ;)
Speaking of which - surely Toyota must have been able to have unloaded at LEAST one of those on the public last month .... No ? Only one of the deep pocketed municipalities like Irvine CA?
Fun facts about the UC Irvine hydrogen fueling station: 15 cars a day is too many
    Don't leases count ?

Rav4 EV was contracted to only produce this number of vehicles. The number was set at the number of ZEV credits toyota needed. Yes its the last one. I think they thought they sold it before and it just trickled out. Toyota's plan is 3000 mirai in California in 2015-2017 to satisfy their ZEV credits. The reason why the quantity is lower is the RAV4 got 3 credits, the mirai gets 9 credits (increased in 2014), meaning instead of 9000 BEVs toyota would have to sell they only need 3000 fcv. Nissan is talking about selling 50,000 BEVs a year in the US once the gen II leaf is released.
All Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Cars Are Compliance Cars, For Now (Page 2)

Model X only will have 500-2000 units sold world wide this year because of parts problems, notably seat posts. That means according to the conference call over 48,000 model S, I am not sure what percent that is in the US, but I expect at least 5000 model S sales in December.
They handed out keys but not cars last month. If you look at toyota's slides they expect the majority of their light vehicles, 70% from eyballing it, to have gasoline engines. These are roughly split evenly between hybrids and plug in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). I do honestly think toyota wants the majority of the other 30% (fcvs and bevs) to run mainly on renewables. That switch to renewables toyota is leaving up to the countries, which means CARB and DOE to force it, as toyota is not in the fuel business.. I do not know if any individuals got keys as a promise to a mirai soon, or if it was all fleets (governments and businesses).

UC Irvine gets a lot of grants for hydrogen research. In the case of the fueling station, now in its 3rd generation, the DOE and California's SCQMD paid for it, and the requirements of 25kg/day were given by CFCP members Toyota, Honda, and BMW.
NFCRC: Hydrogen Program - UC Irvine Hydrogen Station

At the time those grants were given, it was assumed that it would help get california to 5000 fcv by before today, then rebuilt with higher volume technology. This station is primarily R&D and educational, and it is a shame that it is pushed out as a commercially ready station. I do know CARB counts it, but will have to retrofit or bull doze and rebuild to handle commercial type customers. This station as are 50 of the 57, built, in progress, or planned is not up to commercial levels. These 50 will be able to dispense 200kg or less of H2, some like this one only 25 kg/day. If there was not range anxiety you would expect cars with a 5 kg to fill up with 4 kg, but what if the station is out when you get there? That means you get 12 x 2kg fills from this station instead of 6 x 4kg fills a day.

November 2015 Plug-In Electric Vehicle Sales Report Card | Inside EVs
Tesla model S and volt did well, but leaf sales were disappointing. The 30kwh model only made the last week of the month, and the model X only could produce 5 units to sell in the month.

That means November will only be slightly higher than last year, making the full year of plug-ins in slight decline for the first time year over year. Next year should be better.

The November data is available so I'll work up the new posting tonight. But Autoline Daily was happy to report Volt sales so I added this to their comments:

Congratulations to the 2016 Chevy Volt. However, we understand they are already in the show rooms. So sales also reflect clearance of the older inventory.

Regardless, to get a sense of perspective for fuel efficient cars selling more than 1,000 units in November:

    8,287 – Prius hatchback (2015 clearance)
    3,848 – Ram Pickup diesel
    3,100 – Tesla Model S
    2,601 – Prius c
    1,980 – Chevy Volt (2016 and 2015 clearance)
    1,964 – Camry hybrid
    1,643 – Prius v
    1,388 – Fusion hybrid
    1,054 – Nissan Leaf
    (Hybridcars November Dashboard sales)

There are good bargins with the 2015 Prius and Volt. As last of their model year, they will have all factory installed upgrades.
