The Prime at MRSP $28.5k and $4.5k tax credit means the 2017 Prius Two ECO would have to be heavily discounted.

If I miss a ",", the table can get screwed up. I'm only aware of two column delimiters, "|", and ",". Sometimes I'll miss the "," which is used as a thousand delimiter. Sad to say, the edit window timed out.

I own a Prius Prime Plus bought in North Kingstown RI, the nearest one to Huntsville, AL, 1,200 miles away. This suggests Prime inventory may still be sparse.

I had no problem seeing a Volt at the local Chevy dealer . . . but they showed me one without dynamic cruise control. Availability of a car without dynamic cruise control is not even partially appealing. With universal TSS-P, the Prime meets a mandatory requirement.

In six days, the Prime just passed 244 mi, pure EV. Unintended, the Prime EV range has led to more use of 'free' chargers over home charging than even our 72 mi BMW i3-REx. Of course your EV mileage my vary.

I have no interest in ANY EV-only car: Bolt, Tesla, Leaf, e.t.c.. I could not have driven 1,200 miles in 21 hours along any arbitrary route that avoided traffic or bad weather. My cars are a tool that works for me, not the reverse.

Sorry about being late, here is the one graph I'm planning for this month:

• Fusion Hybrid - well done
• Bolt - doing well with steady growth
• Prius Liftback overtaken by Fusion Hybrid

In the past, the Prius sales were so much more higher than the rest of the market, I prepared a second graph so we could see details of the crowd. But that gap, in fact the January sales drop has all but disappeared with no single, proposed cause. Now if we treated all Prius as a single 'model line', Toyota would clearly be a market leader but that really doesn't tell us much about the popularity of different models.

I agree with Jeff Cobb's analysis and rather than over-quote, recommend reading: January 2017 Dashboard Fair disclosure, Jeff pointed out the December sales spike to get the Federal Tax credit was part of my Prius Prime purchase decision. However, I was buying TSS-P and then performance to replace our Gen-3 Prius and succeeded in both.

I will be planning to remap the graph lines next month. The lower market models will be thin and higher contrast to bring out their details. The larger sales models will have icons and possibly thicker lines. I'll also look at moving from excel to openoffice.
