Dashboard Display failure after it rains

Like many of you I have a Prius with a display problem. I have to unplug the battery averaging once a week and have noticed this happens after it rains. Everywhere I read about fixing this problem it claims to be a capacitor in the display board... It may be a coincidence but this board is under the edge of the windshield.

My question to those who have taken the dash apart to address the issue:

Was there any evidence of water leakage on the board or wires leading to the board?
