I route the wires between the windshield and the roof, then to the passenger side behind the curtain SRS (pull out the SRS panel), then down along the windshield behind the SRS, then down behind the black rubber seal (next to side door hinge), then below the glove box, back to the center console and tuck the wire between the carpet and bottom of center console. You can plug in to either of the 12V plug. Or you can hardwire it behind the 12V plug at the back of the center console. Just pull out the panel from the back seat, then you can have the full access of the inside of the center console and connect to the back of the 12V plug.
Same thing I did on my wife's '07. And I'll do the same on the PiP once I find time to clean up my quickie installation.
Hardwired it. Use the fuse add a circuit to wire it. There's 2 unused (no fuse attached) open fuse slots in the fusebox under the dash. One open spot is 12V constant - then on the next parallel fuse rail, another one open spot is switched 12v power. I forgot which is which, use a multimeter to test. Just make sure you plug the "hot" end to correct tap-a-fuse circuit side. Then just wire the cable along the driver side foot well, up the A pillar, behind the SRS airbag trim, then tuck it behind to top roofline.
