Has anyone tried any modifications and/or additions of LEDs to brighten the Prius display. It the glaring Florida sun, the display can be almost impossible to read.
    I would appreciate any comments.

No doubt made worse by wearing sunglasses. I have polarized lenses in mine which makes the MFD display pretty much unreadable.

I actually prefer to drive around with the display turned off. The display does come back on whenever it needs to such as after a volume adjustment is made.

You are referring to the MFD screen and not the dash illumination, right?

There is a dimmer switch to the left of the steering wheel just above where your left knee would be when you're driving. It's a thumb wheel that you can spin up or down to brighten or darken the main display and all the LED displays as well. Crank it all the way to the top for max brightness.

Is it mounted to instrument cluster panel on lower left of driver? You should be able to snap it back into place, they can be unsnapped and relocate to another panel port.
