Hey Everybody, First Prius (2016 Prius Three Touring w/ about 30K miles) and first post. Appreciate any/all help & direction anybody can provide . Bought my CPO Prius late March. Ever since I've had the car, once I hit about 68MPH or faster there's this cyclical vibration that starts to happen. The vibration is about 1 second long and gets faster (about 2-3 vibration 'cycles') until about 74MPH and then the vibration starts to elongate. I just brought it in for the 5K checkup and the dealership said I'd need to come back and do a drivers test for them to check it out. I've tried looking in forums a little bit, but didn't see anybody describe this issue. I thought it might be the wheels out of balance, but I've had other people more car-savvy than myself who've heard/felt it and they didn't think this was the problem. Genuine thanks for reading through this and appreciate the help!
Tires are new, but I’ll definitely ask them about the tire balance. Sorry, CPO = certified pre-owned.
Sounds like the tyres, not necessarily unbalanced but may be out of round. Temporarily, try upping the pressures to max and see if it still does it. Are they all the same tread pattern ?
