Can't imagine that one would be any easier to keep clean.

How would you clean dust off of it? Vacumn? I currently just use my Swifter. I don't think it will cut down noise - to do that you need to insulate under the floor carpet and around the wheel wells.

I figured it would absorb more sound than the plastic dash.

as far as cleaning it.....remove and use compressed air.

So it is not permanent. That would be interesting then. Please let us know how it works out for you. ;)

I have never noticed any noise reduction from a dash cover. I'm sure there is some reduction but think you would need some good instrumentation to measure the difference.

There are other good reasons for a dash cover though, so if you get one please post some installed pictures.

I got the one that Costco offers, chose the fuzzy version, rather than the matte. Well made, and the people are nice to deal with -- called me up to make sure about the vent locations, etc. But it actually made glare worse -- the "fuzz" consists of near-microscopic whiskers, all parallel, and with smooth surfaces, that reflect in the windsheld when they catch the sun. If these give you the option of a felt-like finish, I recommend you try that, rather than the plush.
