Just thinking out loud after washing the car. Anybody else notice how many cracks, crevices, indents and other places for water to hide after a wash. Just as I chamois off the last running drop I open the doors and CRIPES--a whole another wash project on the jambs and rockers. Whew... I need a beer.
You can use a leaf blower, if you have one, to blow the majority of the water out from all the crevices, mirrors, indents etc before drying...
When I have time I throw in a couple of towels and go for a drive after I wash and dry it. Then I stop after a few miles and finish drying it off.
Yep, get an electric leaf blower. Otherwise, opening and closing all the doors as well as moving around a bit helps drain the excess water.
The last thing I do is open all the doors and use my wet towel to clean the inside posts, etc. I never did it on any car before, but it keeps the car alot cleaner.
A blast up the road at 60 mph usually does the trick - not sure how environmentally friendly this is though
