Hey! Doesn't that front end look like it was pulled right off of model 3?

Lol... That car design looks like the head of Toyota told their endlessly awful car design team to make something that looks like the Tesla Cyber truck.

In front of the tires, it looks like an anime/manga demon. Tonight I may have a nightmare.

If you do have a nightmare the Toyota designers will be gleefully watching you dream your dream in your dreamtime audience... It happened to me once, others as well. They're crazy like that!

Here is a better summery of progress of toyota's lithium and pics of their electric vehicles
    Toyota’s Quick-Charging Solid-State Battery Coming in 2025
We definitely have our answer on why 2025 not 2021 Olympics for trying to sell limited production of solid state vehicles. Its a combination of lack of durability and manufacturability.

2025 its likely they fix the durability issue, or another like that at UT or MIT or Samsung, will have figured out better materials. The manufacturing problems may be tougher so I would expect these to be more expensive at least for the next 7 years versus the mature Lion technology that is still improving. I'd say volume cars will be 5 years after solid state is available in expensive phones or tablets.

They are probably holding off until fusion power plants become common.

To be fair it also prevented the need for many millions of car-miles of driving, and counting.

reading the article, toyota (a la gm) is simply looking for a glamorous place to show off their propaganda.

without the 2020 tokyo olympics, it loses all its glamour

    And also a financial hardship.
The car market started contracting last year, as predicted, but car sales appear to be down by at least a fifth across the board so far this year.

At least the prices are a lot higher,

Sort of like the housing supply crisis that started right during The beginning of Covid causing a +40% across the board in this area
