Has anyone looked into Velox rims that are sold by Costco? They are currently $150 off a set of 4... the are about $90-120 each so getting $150 off a set of 4 is not a bad deal... just don’t know how heavy they are...
Costco is doing $70 off a set of 4 Bridgestone and if you get both tires and rims together you get an additional $100 off..
That’s $320 off a set of 4 tires and rims

I wish the stock prime rims were black like the good old days, all I would do is remove the hub caps and be done.... I guess I could spray them with Plasti Dip, but that’s a hassle

My good ol' days are probably a bit older: stamped steel, silver finish, with a chromed hub cap in the center.

I would go for the dipped ones if you just want black rims, 2 cans of black plastidip and 1 can of clear coat will do it for you. Around 15-20$ for less commitment.

I can see the desire for a double set of wheels and tires for seasons though.

I just ordered a set of black Velox Nirvana wheels for my v. 17x7 were 19.5 lbs. Costco did not have that model so I ordered from Americas Tire. Only $129 each. Call Velox customer service if you have any questions, they were very helpful.

Wow those look great! I’ve used pastidip on my volt rims and when I changed the tires the coating peels off. Did you plastidip those hubcaps? I was thinking just spraying them with black spray paint....

Those are nice ones.... I really don’t want to go with 17s (don’t know how the smooth the ride will be afterwards) so I was thinking of going to 16s instead (might not even be worth the money to only go just 1inch bigger)

I didn't add up what it costs for 15 inch tires, wheels and TPMS sensors but it was about $1,000.

I have the oem 17s and the ride is fine with the stock 50 series tires. 16s would be even cushier and if you have those now it would be much cheaper to just change the wheels.

Yeah they are plasti dipped black with the gloss top layer also being a Plasti Dip. No commitment there. It's a great way to try out different looks without investing too much or committing to anything.
They don't look too glossy here since the whole car is covered in dirty winter road garbage lol 1520560329428.jpg

That’s really nice! I priced out the 16in Velox rims and tires I want to be about $650, so it’s not that bad, and I think will help the ride handling a little.... too bad the rims under the caps aren’t just black like they used to be...

Is your roof wrapped? Looks nice

YUP! It's pretty subtle looking, I think. This is my thread on it.

I will never use plasti dip on rims again, it turns nasty after a few years and touch up is not they easy....

Where did you powder coat them? How much??

    Thanks

I know I'll get boo'd out of here, but why-oh-why do you all want to look like you're on black steelies? Rims should be silver, it's the natural order, lol.

BOOOOO! Get out of here! Just kidding but all jokes aside I like the two tone black and white since the car has a lot of black... and then having silver on it makes it out of place.
