Hi. I have a 4th generation hybrid corolla car. 1.8 2zr-fxe engine. I have an obdlink brand obd2 adapter. How can I see the oil temperature?

An app like Car Scanner can show you that kind of information.

I have never seen oil temp or pressure on a Prius 1.8

^ Agreed, I don't think the car actually has an oil temp sensor. You'd have to add your own. It is sometimes possible to add a sensor and have it participate in the car's native data bus so that an OBDII-connected system can poll it for readout. See PLX for more info.

Most all Toyota oil filter adapters have a M18x1.5 port that is plugged with a M10 hex wrench.

An oil temperature can be adapted to this port.

Anybody know what the oil temps on Corolla/Pri typically range?

Why I ask about the oil temperature sensor? Because it's a little cold where I live. I blocked the front grille with polyurethane sausage wick. only the engine air intake area is open. Engine water is around 70 degrees Celsius most of the time when you're done driving. I constantly check the water temperature. If I'm going to drive for a long time, I take out one of the sausage wicks.

But I wonder about the oil temperature on short drives. I use 0w16 oil. I think it will deform prematurely if it gets too hot.

Do you have active grill shutters?

I don't. But it's been a while since I've seen any liquid-cooled engine where it strayed far from the coolant temp.

    I’d be watching coolant temps.

70c/158f is too cool. It is designed to run at 190f-205f. All you are doing is attempting to force it to warm up faster but then worry about it overheating because you have blocked air flow.

What area of Turkey? The interior, Ankara for example, gets pretty cold in winter. Just judging by Behzat C.

no there's not. Corolla is a cheap car.

How do you know behzat c? I was very surprised :) yes, I am in Ankara.

My route is heavy traffic. It is not possible to warm up the engine. I turn on the heater. Engine water is not getting hot enough.

I constantly check the engine water temperature with obd2 hybrid assistant. but I always wonder about the oil temperature.

Netflix. We watched a lot of similar Turkish shows. Can’t remember all the names. Intersections was a good one too.
