I have owned and currently own vehicles with front cornering lights. I really like to have them as these can be a nice option if you are in unfamiliar or darkly lit areas at night. They shine in the direction you are turning as a steady beam of light until you complete the turn. Most of them are activated by the turn signal. The only Toyota's I have seen them on were the old Previa minivans. Well, recently I mounted an extra set of fog lights (small oval ones) bought over the counter at the local WalMart under the front of my Prius and wired them via a 30 amp relay (required by the fog lights) to my original front fog lights. The new fog lights are wired for power at the fuse box under the hood but the existing fog lights simply power the relay (less than 1 amp) to turn on the new fog lights. So when I make a turn at night, I can simply flip the orig. fog lights switch on (if not already in inclimate weather) and the new ones shine in both directions for my turns. It works well and they cannot be seen from the front of the car unless you are laying down looking under the car. They are set back far enough that they do not scrape when making higher curb entrances or bumping curbs in the parking lot. If you want details email me.
