    Hey all,

2017 Prius 2 So I'm having to add a little coolant like every other day, probably put in almost 2 gallons over 6 months and it seems to be going quicker now. I don't see any drip on the ground and am not finding any leakage at hose connections I can easily reach. Not seeing any residue, but I assume it's hitting the engine and boiling off.

I know the heat exchanger has been a problem on these, that has been disconnected and the lines that went to it removed, I can reach in and feel where it was bypassed, no leak.

Is there anything else I can do before I have to take it to a pro?

    Thanks

any white smoke from the exhaust? you might want to do a head gasket test

Coolant leak is a serious problem. It is necessary to urgently find the place where it is leaking.
It is worse if it is the engine.
The piston jamming from hydraulic shock, due to coolant leaking into one of the cylinders will provide a problem with engine replacement.

That coolant is going somewhere. Which coolant tank are you refilling?

A few Priuschatters have had problems with the exhaust heat recovery system leaking coolant directly into the exhaust.

Maybe effectively stopped the leakage? He's a little vague:
