I've noticed that the ICE will shutdown during the warm-up at a stop IF the cabin control is 'off.' But otherwise, the ICE continues to run even if just the fan is on. If you can, hit OFF and the AUTO when the light changes.

We're not talking great fuel savings, maybe a couple of grams but every little bit.

? Even at -5F, after warm up, mine will shutdown at a stop with the cab temp @ 67 and ECO mode engaged. Maybe I missed the question/point?

    p.s. I have 100% lower grill blocked.

It is ~0.4 mi. to the first stop light. Over four times, I've come to a stop at the light on the first drive of the day and the engine remains on. But if I turn the cabin controls to "OFF," the fan dies and the engine too. It remains very repeatable.

Oh OK, so your probably just about coming out of Stage 1 at the time, right? The G3 seems to be pretty proud of itself to shut down after coming out of state 1 but between the other stages till fully warmed up likes to continue to run at the stops or won't shutdown on a glide. Something I really notice on the way home from work as I have quite a few lights early on in the commute. And yes, I notice that the cab temp makes a big difference in that. I keep my temp low for that reason.

Yup. That's why I like the AUTO button on the steering wheel in the Gen 2. I can switch the engine on and off at will haha. Now it's two different buttons and I have to take my eyes off the road to find them.
