My daughter dropped a dime into the battery exhaust grill (the vents on either side of the back seat). Do I need to fish it out before the fan kicks in or is there some kind of grill/filter down there?
I thought the vent had a filter now. Mine does not have a filter, so I just have a sign : INSERT COINS HERE <joke but considering our back seat toddlers we probably have a whole collection of Legos down there>
The counduit behind the grill goes up the seat back, very little likelihood of a problem. It's pretty easy to open up: if you depress the seat cushion at junction with the back and reach in with a longish socket extension, there's a single 12 mm (socket) bolt that needs removal. Then just shift the slim corner back piece (with the grill) upwards and towards you. It might help to tilt the seat back forward a bit in the process.
Yes, Bisco... How to change a dime into $20? Drop it in Daddy's beloved car somewhere it takes $20 service visit to take it out.
