Have replaced dead cells on wife's HV battery over a month ago. Threw this P0a80 code today and will barely move. She idles into dealership and they say it's the battery, really! Any input is welcomed but need it ASAP as it is sitting at the dealership and I would rather not spend $3000 for a new battery if possible
Where are you located? How many miles? What was your rebalancing procedure when you replaced the modules? It is possible that you are looking at the "whack-a-mole" syndrome, and that there are additional modules needing attention.
Replacing cells often just puts extra load on the other cells and the weak link fails. I suggest you look into a rebuild or used battery.
