When to one of my local Ford dealerships and got a great trade in price for the Frontier.. gave him what I wanted for the FFH and told him to get back with me.. in the meantime when to another dealer, and got a much lower trade in offer.. so I walked out of that dealership. Went back to original dealership today and added a few more options.. salesman will call me back tomorrow for updated price. If the price is right I will order it!!! Back to top Quote MultiQuote Edit
At least per What Fees Should You Pay? - Edmunds.com, you're in a state where trading in a car saves on sales tax. It doesn't in CA, making it almost always much better to sell privately.
Ha Ha.. Ha... well.. let me end the suspense.... The salesman and I reached a DEAL this afternoon!!!! I will be putting my order in for a 2013 Ford Fusion HYBRID with plenty of bells and whistles tomorrow afternoon!!! Can you guys believe it????
^^^ Yay! So, it's being ordered? How long will it take to arrive? Not taking one they have on the lot (assuming they have them)?
Not so fast..... Not sure if the car I want to order has all the features I thought it had.... Gone sit with dealer yet again Friday. May have to wait yet a bit longer...
Do you really need to order? If they're already on the lots, can they do a dealer trade? I did that when I bought my 02 Maxima. Friends of mine have had dealers do trades before.
sorry need to clarify.. the SE model that I have a "deal" on.. according to my reseach is NOT AVAILABLE with intelligent key and push button start.. it will only be available on the Titanium version of the Hybrid coming out "early next year"... that is what I mean...
I forgot, did you look into the '12 HyCam as well? It's been available for awhile and is available w/SKS.
careful now, actual hycam mpg has proven out to be better than ffh, even tho epa testing says otherwise. now that would be disappointing. make sure you reset the avg mpg gauge and take her for a good long test drive. many dealers will let you take it home for a few days.
Well, previous gen (pre-MY 13) FFH got better EPA mileage than the previous gen (07-11) HyCam, but they got almost identical results in CR's tests (Most fuel-efficient cars). It'll be interesting to see how the '13 FFH does against the '12+ HyCam in other tests, like CR's.
Uh oh, Friday. Never make a decision on a Friday! I'd second the warning on the MPG. The new Fusion has a downsized engine (2.0L) and if the C-Max is anything to go by the car might struggle to hit its EPA rating. However, from what I'm reading the worst of the C-Max hit comes on the highway so if you're mostly driving at lower speeds you may be closer to EPA. Also, have you test-driven the Volt? If the Ford dealers aren't discounting the Fusion Hybrid, you might be able to get a deal on the Volt from a volume seller that, after the tax credit, will give you a similar TCO. (Depends on the miles you travel, of course).
test drove the volt.. backseat room is one of the reasons we like the Fusion.. Volt has very little room back there..
