Clazzio and Katzkin seat cover question

I'm looking at seat covers from Clazzio and Katzkin and I'm on the fence. I'll probably end up going with the Clazzio PVC just because of price considering it's my commuting car and I won't be hauling the baby or dog, and even when I do have the dog, I'd probably be putting a towel down.

So my question to those the PVC covers, how is the durability and thickness of the fabric? If you look at Clazzio's website you get the distinct impression that they are trying to direct people towards the leather covers. Doors the PVC hold up well?

The other question I have is about the back seat. What does the back side of the rear seat look like after the install? Is it still carpeted? I've looked for pictures but have come up short. Any pics would be great! Thanks!
