Took my car to a mechanic recommended buy the guy who I purchased my prius from. Says the catalytic converter needs to be replaced and said a magna flow catalytic converter would not fix the issue. Anyone advice?

It is very possible and quite likely that he may be right now I thought there was a magnaflow that was approved for this vehicle that would do correctly? Then of course I guess you can go factory in such a thing is available and if it's not I would think you'd be able to get a letter from the dealer and get a rider from the state for at least a year while they try to sort out the parts issue if there is one I realize their costly but that works like that. I'm always wondering about taking two catalytic converters and welding them to look like the two pieces on the generation to our now and put that in place to see what happens. But I'm in a place where I don't have to worry with this so I don't.
