Charocal canister etc p2401, p2402, p2419

    HI:

    I have owned toyotas since 1985 - at one time we had three prius' I now have a 2012 prius c - for the first time in my life i am frustrated with toyota

    at 60K miles the heater fan went I just replaced it . Now at 61k it does not pass inspection because engine codes p2401 p2402 and p2419 show,. Everything I read says the charcoal canister . I pulled the charcoal canister - it looks fine no gas smell no cracks all lines attached

    any ideas other than shelling out $1200 to the dealer. ( yes i already know dont overfill offering that advice at this time will do nothing to fix the current situation ) I

    welcome! this is very unusual. would a salvage unit work?

    Yes i am thinking of buying a used unit but i am not convinced its the canister - everything looks good on it ?
    I am wondering if there could be something else wrong with it

    have you tried disconnecting the 12v to see if the codes reset?

    I reset the code with a code reader drove it for another 75 miles and the check engine light came back on with these codes again

    isn't it covered under the 5 year emissions warranty?

    That would be real nice i will have to call the dealership

    merged

    no it was not covered

    so I bought a new 'used' one codes are still there gas cap is tight anyone have any other ideas ??
