I have a 2012 Prius Plug In, and noticed that the light near the charge port wasn't turning on. The car is charging. If I go press the Start button, the display shows the car taking a charge. I thought maybe it was the cord, but went to a public 220v 40amp charger and had the same thing happen. The car charges, but the light doesn't come on. I've also started having some issues with the Entune app getting Remote Climate to turn on, and the battery status to refresh. From the forums I've tried disconnecting the plug, and disconnecting the 12v battery negative terminal to reset the computers. I pulled the little rubber gasket. I didn't hold down the latch button when connecting the charger cable. I'm at a loss. Anybody have any hints?
12v battery was holding at 12.5v when it was loaded, and 13.6v when it was plugged in. Perhaps it did just burn out. I assumed it would be an LED. Anybody know if it pops out, or if I need to go in through the trunk?
I keep the air conditioner set pretty aggressively. The manual says it could be a charging system issue, so appointment made. I'll go confuse the service center. Thanks bisco.
Nearly three years later, that's why it's not good to spend much time writing a skillfully crafted reply. I'm gonna start writing more like @bisco. How many miles on her? Check the 12v.
