I want to install a bracket for a two way radio, on the passenger side of the center console, near the bottom, on a 2013 Prius. I'm worried about drilling thru electrical cables or otherwise damage something sensitive. Is it okay to drill in this area?

Remove the panel, or pull it out enough to verify you're ok. Anything less is foolhardy, lol.

Yeah, I'm a bit leery of pulling back on plastic panels not knowing if I'm going to break any fasteners.

If you could take a picture of the area in question it would be helpful for me to help you.

To do a really pro install, I would remove the passenger seat and the center console. There are a only a few bolts holding it in. (The center console bolts are hiding underneath the mats in the tray floors.)

Once you have the center console on your workbench it should be much easier to work with.

I agree with Dylan. Now that I see it, you should be ok. Should be cool looking when you are done. Back in the day, all my cars had CB radios.

I have a RAM arm I used to have in my previous vehicle, a 2008 Nissan Versa. This time, though, I don't have a socket to loosen the nut on the seat track.

I do need to fix the radio in place to keep it from sliding where it's at.
