Installed a CEIKA lift kit which includes adjustable front struts and rear springs. I paid a mechanic to install, but appeared to be a DIY project. (I haven't a place to do this myself)

CEIKA is very customizable, options during the order process, the shocks are adjustable, and the height of the struts and spring is adjustable.

I bought new TRQ front strut mounts.s

I drove on my normal route, about 200km (124 miles) of asphalt highway (speed limit 80kmp/50kmp) felt like a new car, very smooth, handled bumps very well.

next part of my route is on about 50km unmaintained dirt road, generally smooth but the lift is necessary.

then about 30km of semi-maintained (once a year) dirt road, reenforced with rock and graded. Flat but lots of potholes.

I had previously lifted the car with spacers and keeping the OEM struts, springs and shocks. This allowed passage on but the handling was poor.

The new CEIKA kit really improved the handling in all conditions.

    I am very satisfied with

Thanks for posting your take on these vs the spacers. I was set on the spacers and was quite happy the mod was cheap, but if the ride is compromised and these are better, I'd rather just do it right the first time. Will need to save up though. How did you come to learn of CEIKA? My Google searches for "lifted Prius C" always leads me down the spacer path. The C doesn't seem to get a whole lot of love in the aftermarket. Any updated thoughts on your mod?

I needed to lift to navigate the road to home. About 50 miles from the paved road. I initially used spacers for the lift. But the handling was terrible. Of course with 100,000 miles the shocks and struts needed to be replaced.
As you noticed it was hard to find coilover that provide a lift for the Aqua or Prius C. I just spent a lot of time with Duckduckgo (the browser and s

And search engine.) Just kept searching. Tried various countries. I think I heard mention of Ceika in a UK site. I have driven about 5000 miles with the new struts, shocks, and springs. About 1000 miles on the dirt roads. The car is much more controlable on the unmaintained and poorly maintained road. Of course on the paved roads I feel the suspension is also much improved. Though I ordered the medium ( from the menu of: soft, medium, stiff.) But no high speed , speed limit here is 80Km/h = 50mph.

Thanks for the follow-up. Mainly, I just drive in-town paved roads and down highways, but do have to contend with snow-packed areas 3 months of the year and some rough backcountry roads from time to time. I get an average of 50 mpg with the factory setup (paved roads) and hope this won’t be impacted much with a setup like yours. Having come from a background using spacers and the kind of roads you traverse, you may not recall and it certainly wouldn’t be an apples-to-apples comparison, but I wonder what difference you saw in mpg with your mod.
