Case for my new 2010 IV Prius manuals

    Hi Everyone,
We own a 2004 Prius with 92K miles on it and just got a 2010 IV last night (with the solar roof option package). We were 16 on the waiting list and were not expecting it to arrive for another 3 months. But luckily they built our exact preference and moved to the front of the list. They also have 4 or 5 sitting on their lot not claimed.

I'm still going through the manual to try and learn what is different (and there is a ton).

My question - the massive manuals came in a brown paper envelope. Does anyone know if you can buy a nice zippered case for the manuals? I've done lots of internet searches, looked here in the prius chat shop, but nothing. It is a hard search to do because manual and case mean so many things.

Thanks forum members. I've used this forum many times to find information, this is the first that I've done my own posts.

    Bob.

Thought your dealer would have given you a vinyl folder with their contact information printed on it made for the job. Ask your dealer what he can do for you.

We did and they didn't have anything. Weird.

Some dealers do and some don't. It's up to the individual dealer.

Try an office supply store. You should be able to find something there.

I just talked with the salesman and he was able to find a case. He had to talk with the owner. Very strange. Thanks for the input everyone.

I know that they have a "Port Installed Option" DK = "Preferred Portfolio"

This should have been standard. While I am fine with the custom freebie that Jabber gave me with their logo, etc. I would have much preferred a generic "Prius" one, and would have gladly paid $5-$10 for one. The cheap vinyl one does take away a bit from the car buying experience, IMHO.

    That's good.

I was going to suggest that you search eBay Motors for Owner's Manual Leather Case. You'll be able to find manuals with cases for most auto makers. (It's hard to find the cases alone.) If you do some narrowing, you can find what they have for Toyota. Here's my eBay search results for Toyota:

My giant stack of owners info came in a red plastic case--kind of tacky looking, actually. When I asked the salesman what happened to the nice black Toyota cases I'd seen, he said they had to order special larger cases for the Prius owners info, because there's so much that it doesn't fit in the standard Toyota case.
