Hit a deer on my way home from work. That 12 hour shift of OT will actually cost me money if I fix this. Might just do the duct tape cure.

Wondering if anyone knows a ballpark price on replacing a bumper. I'm thinking $1500. Wouldn't ya know my deductible is $1000. I might just wait until it's causing problems before forking over my cash to fix it. Probably not the last time I kiss the rear of a deer with my car.

Where abouts are you located? Car-part.com has a few in various lots.

Well, blizzard pearl is going to bring the price up right off the bat since its one of the more expensive colors. Certifit has many locations around the country and are very inexpensive. Their stuff comes in black polyurethane and then just have a body shop paint and mount it if you wish. I did this for my brothers 07 Camry and the raw bumper was $36 plus another $150 for paint but that was also a brown color.

I'm located in southern Illinois...almost in Kentucky. I will check out car-part.com.

I'm not too concerned about the aesthetics of this blemish. I just hope it won't get worse and start flapping, making noise or affecting my good gas mileage. I might look into plastic repair kits. I'm sure there is something out there that would be fairly easy to use.

I have been a lurker here for almost a year. This finally got me to register and post something.

Cut a piece duct tape, sharpie it to make it look like a giant piece of bandaid, then tape over it.

Anyone askes, it is an art.

The only "good" thing is you don't appear to have lost any lights or had sheet metal and paint damage. You may want to go to a local body shop to see if they can do a quick/cheap repair just to realign and reconnect along the tear in the bumper. Whatever happens, for better or worse, you won't exceed your high deductible.
