While I was searching the web for hybrid cartoons, I came upon this post-election political cartoon. Yeah, it's off-topic but I thought it was funny.
<_< Go Figure.... Dallas Morning News couple of days ago quoted a GM official: "If they can afford $40 - 50 thousand for an SUV, they can afford $3.00 a gallon for gasolene." (not exact words, but accurate) ...and... Reports printed today (4/26) that SUV sales in the Dallas area are UP. **SIGH** OTOH I'm seeing more Prius on Dallas area streets these days.

Some people are just so short sighted they don't understand how that great deal is going to eat into their wallet every week. In our house we call it the "free elephant". My mother tells my father that if he could get an elephant for free he'd take it. He says certainly. My mother points out that he never considers the cost of feeding the elephant daily or of how to dispose of the elephant patties. To him an elephant is a great deal. I own a dog.
OH oh oh oh. Where are they giving away elephants? I want one. And you say they're free? NO WAY!! That's an AWESOME deal!!!
Pat: What's the difference between a mail box and an elephant's nice person? Mike: Gee, I don't know, Pat. Pat: That's why we'll never send you out there to get the mail!
