Yeah, it's been a while since I last heard of a Canadian Prius meet. I hear that ones in the past, set up on http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Canada-Prius/ , have gone pretty well, an all-day affair that brought in many people from several provinces.

Doesn't Ontario rebate the Retail Sales Tax for Prius?

Hi fellow Canucks! I'm looking at buying a 2006 (new), and have searched the internet trying to find information on the 2006 Prius. I found many good points, but also want to see the down side in order to make my decision. How does this car stand up to our winter? What is your actual mileage? Have you had many repairs? Was your car involved in the recall for either the air bags or steering shaft?

    Thanks.

Winter? haha.. I'm on the west coast so I'll let sarge or mark answer (they're in your region).

Mileage.. being on the west coast, our warmer winters put less dent in the mileage. I average ~4.3-4.5L/100km in the summer and closer to 5L/100km in the winter. I'm currently at 4.7L/100km after blocking the grill and of course after 2 years' worth of driving.

No repairs on mine but I have the steering wheel recall.
