Can you unscrew the antenna?

    Yup..I did it a few days ago when the very well documented XM radio fade-in fade-out issue occurred.

    Does that antenna have anything to do with XM?

    Yes, I can unsrew FM antenna. It is a simple bolt. Turn anti-clockwise.

    I don't think so. I think that is the FM (and maybe AM) antenna. The XM antenna is in the base of the whip.
