Can you mount suction cup to front windshield defroster with no problems?

    The windshield has dots right by the rearview that I'm guessing is the defroster. Any issues with mounting something over it? I just want to make sure it doesn't damage the defroster.

    It's not a defroster. I believe it is there to just block out some of the sun. You can put a suction cup over it without any problem. However, you may find it difficult to stick.

    The dots are a sun shade of sorts.
    The suction cups I have tried do NOT stick.
