took the dog with us camping and thought we lost him, he blended in with the leaves had to throw down an old sheet so we could find him  [attachmentid=10588]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Mad Hatter @ Aug 13 2007, 06:25 PM) </div> great job Mad Hatter!!! when he was just in the leaves without the sheet he rolled up in a ball under the leaves wife almost stepped on him but found his leash first. I like the dissapearing pic though
Min Pin? Sometimes they are hard to find: They can blend into the trail [attachmentid=10610] Or hide amongst the trees [attachmentid=10611] Or just hide under a blanket [attachmentid=10612] Our Min Pin Penny is gone almost two years now, but we adopted another Min Pin mix named Digby. He has some of the same habits as Penny did, including getting under the covers whenever possible. [attachmentid=10614]
Dog in the first picture looks just like my little Missy. What breed of dog is it? I have no idea what Missy is.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(patsparks @ Aug 16 2007, 06:29 AM) </div> The dog in the first picture looks a Min Pin (miniature pinscher) to me. That's why I posted some additional pictures of our dogs.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priussoris @ Aug 16 2007, 02:26 PM) </div> Oscar has the cute Min Pin face. He also has a regular tail which is usually cropped on Min Pins, but I've seen photos of Min Pins in Europe where they don't do the tails or ears and they have tails that look like that. Chihuahuas usually have a rounder skull (apple head) but some also look like him. Pure Min Pins have longer legs and are not usually as broad in the chest, so I can see the Dachshund in him. Did you get him as a puppy? I'm curious about the parents. Our Digby has a similar body as your Oscar, but we don't know what he was mixed with, because we got him from Yolo SPCA when he was about 1 year old. I think he might be part Dachshund, but our vet thinks he is a mix of a Min Pin and some other terrier (terrierist) breed such as a Jack Russell. I call him the mutant Min Pin. [attachmentid=10712]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dogfriend @ Aug 17 2007, 10:47 AM) </div> While fulltiming in the RV we stopped at a few Dog pounds from CA. to TX. So while in Conroe Texas, we stopped in at the shelter and spyed this guy, he was so quiet , tail between his legs and shaking up a storm. I thought I could like a quiet dog..hahahahaha not any more he tells us what he wants. So anyway the vet at the shelter said they do a dna test and as the blood work , he came up as part min pin, dachs, chau. and he was about 6 months old then. must have been abandon on the streets of conroe texas. he was only there 2 weeks . So we waited another week I think to see if anyone claims him ,nope and then we bought him from the shelter and very glad we did. He has seen a good part of the countryside for 5 yrs. what a lucky dog
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priussoris @ Aug 17 2007, 01:37 PM) </div> He's a Min Pin. I've heard that they can do this now. I wonder how much it costs? I'm really curious about our dog. He is a lucky dog.
