I heard a lot of people saying they are carving the bottom front of their car.

Can someone measure the front A and B for me? I just want to see a driveway can handle the Prius.

Ground clearance shows 5.7" on spec, but I think it's more about the length between the front wheel and the front of the bumper.

Make your driveway a part of your test drive!

(I am amazed anyone lives somewhere smooth enough to lower a Prius. It is no-where near MS.)

My v is not as low as my Gen 2, though.

While I cannot comment to the 2016, I can tell you that taking a driveway or parking lot at speed will cause a scraping noise in my 2009; and most other cars that are not suv's. I have not had any damage to speak of except a few scrapes on the black strip under the front. Reduce your speed a little- and no problems in general. If it is a steeper drive, take the approach on an angle (in stead of straight in).

We are in the middle of a 2 day heavy rain so only quick measurement. At the middle of the front bumper lowest spot to ground it is about the 5.7 inches but at the other spot you mention between the wheel and the right side of the bumper was only a little over 5 inches, so less clearance there. That was a good observation by you to think of that. Actually, that right side is where I scrapped some rocks near a new hiking trail I went to. I'll get more accurate measurements when this rain stops. Those distances are probably affected by the type od wheel 15 inch or 17 inch and the inflation psi of those tires.

someone mentioned that the 15 and 17 have similar od because of low profile tyres?

agree, but that would affect either generation, unless the springs are lighter on gen 4.

I have been wondering that myself. That and whether or not that is really your rabbit or if you borrowed one just to increase web traffic. :)

The distance between the center of your front wheel and the front of the car is 950mm -- 25mm more than last year, BTW.

    <sigh> no...

I'm not on a Prius forum asking if a driveway can handle the new Prius to get traffic to a site.

Sounds a bit far fetched. I have 75 posts.. may not be anywhere close as you guys, but I'm on here quite often just lurking.

Bought a Prius for my car a while back.. now thinking of the gen 4 for myself... I just take a long time to decide on buying one.
