Can a tired 2013 Prius v get the guts from a wrecked pip?

    just curious if the drivetrain from a 2012 pip can drop into a2013 v?
    (Some Prii have interchangeable parts)

    Other thought was has anyone converted the station wagon to a plug in?

    well, my completely ignorant opinion is that the cars are too different. and while anything can be done (see the thread by @Bill the Engineer ) it has to be a true labor of love, by a very talented technician.

    Anything can be done but maybe better to look in this direction for an engine or other parts.

    In what way is it tired? Usually by the time the Prius's battery or engine is tired, so is the suspension, upholstery, etc.

    Since I have based my Firebrid on a 2014 Prius v, I have investigated the type of conversion the OP is describing. Unfortunately, most of the electronics is completely different between a PIP and a Prius v. The dash (and thereby the MFD Speedometers) are not interchangeable between them either since the v is slightly wider.

    I suggest contacting Steve at Prius hybrids sales and service Scottsburg Indiana to inquire about the needed Prius v parts out of salvaged cars. One of his specialties is parting out wrecked Prius v's.
