By the current burn rate, it looks like funds for the CA $1500 rebate will be exhausted by the end this month (March). 3/7/14 8.42pm PST $4,919,131 The current burn rate is about 3000 rebates a month. Assuming each rebate is $2000 (about 50% PHEV and 50% BEV), with $4.9m, the funds would last 4919131/3000/2000 = 0.82 month. Taking into account the last minute surge, I predict it would not last beyond March. Anyone on the fence who wants to get the rebate should move fast.
