i just bought an 05 prius & it has two little holes in the front bumper where the front license plate use to be. now i live in a state where i don't need a license plate in the front. questions is how do i fix it? is there a place where i can get some bumper plugs? or maybe has somebody else ever taken their car in to get those holes fixed by bondoing it in and sanding and repainting the area? if so how much would something like that run? oh, and its super white. those 2 little holes are really bugging the wife! (its actually her prius)
Maybe inexpensive white or black plastic license plate screw caps will work to your wife's satisfaction? You can also consider using black screw on rubber spool like bumpers from NoBump.com (order from their vendor girlslovewheels.com because it's cheaper), or make your own by using rubber chair leg tips. These may not be to her aesthetic satisfaction, but they do help to protect your front bumper's paint during parking.
It's not a bumper. It's a bumper cover. Don't get me started on that! You can't "bondo" plastic. Not and have it last. Plugs are the easiest. You could also get yourself a "statement" plate and put it on there. Car personalization. Note that the original bumper cover had two little indents where the dealer drilled the holes for the front plate. So completely replacing the bumper cover would still leave you with those.
well does toyota or any body else make bumper plugs? i did a search and honda make bumper plugs for their cars for this exact reason, but looking at the it doesn't look like theirs will fit a prius...
You might also want to PM nmrickie. I think he got the plugs that you ordered. But subsequently found white generic plugs that he thinks works better. He bought a bag of 100 for $8, and if you PM him he might send you a couple. Check out his thread of the subject: http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-modifications/5788-white-bumper-plugs.html
I also liked the DoorPlugs that cover the keyhole. If I weren't so mired in poverty at the moment, I'd get those. BumperPlugs.com
