Brief Brake cutoff in reverse...

Curious if anyone else has experienced this?

While backing out of parking space, car was on battery not ICE. While reversing stepped on brake to slow reverse speed, lightly just riding brake to keep from going faster, not to stop. ICE started and car lunged faster in reverse while brakes seemed to immediately cut out at ICE start. Immediately pumped brake (foot off - then reapplied) and it seemed to reset immediately operating fine. It was if (1) the ICE start provided initially a little more boost, and at that exact moment while ICE came on, (2) that interupted the brake function.

Best I could describe it. If anyone has questions please ask. Was controllable with immediately removing foot from brake and reapplying. But just didn't seem right that this would be acceptable. I back out of a garage multiple times a day and it was not a pleasant feeling. I was not in garage for this occurrence. ICE started while backing up, about 1-1.5 seconds after stepping on brake (riding brake) to remain at a current speed. Just seemed to cutout when ICE started, but there was a little surge rearward as well.

Anyone?!?!?!

 

Car had also been driven about 20 minutes prior, and also ECO mode was selected as I almost always drive in it...

 

All I can say is - there were no brakes for a second until I took my foot off brake and reapplied. My feeling was that pushing harder without removing foot and reapplying wouldN't have done anything.. That is the impression I got.
