    Hi!

I am new to the forum. Been reading a lot of posts and it seems like a nice community.

I been searching up and down for brake light info. My driver side tail light is illuminating when I have the auto switch on, but the brake light does not work when I press on it. My passenger one lights up when brake is pressed. Any suggestions as to what it might be, also what I should do?

    2012 Prius. 73K miles.

I have not had any issues with the vehicle. It’s been good to me. I checked fuse box, it was good, and not really sure because I found out it does not have bulbs like other vehicles..

That should be the brake lights with the strips of LEDs about three wide running up and down the length of the tail light not the little dots of LEDs all at the very top of the tail light anyway either one makes no difference these are covered by the aftermarket they're very inexpensive the LEDs do go bad and when they do you generally get another tail light sometimes they have moisture problems water can leak in or moisture and get in the tail light You can see this by seeing the terrarium effect in the tail light sometimes that moisture will take out the board that runs the LEDs for the brakes You can try and take the tail light apart and bake it in an oven and take the lens off and do all that playing around like the kids do but generally most folks have jobs and places to be and don't want to spend the time trying to do all that
