New to Prius, I would be interested in learning from the Pros what they have done or plan to do to personalize their Prius. I have already decided that I want the backup beep turned off. The stock wheels look better to me with the hubcaps off. Will a K&N Air Filter work better than Toyota's filter? Younger people are going to have a lot of fun tricking out the outside of the car.:)

So, what are you doing or not doing to your Prius? Please share your best ideas?

I'm a big fan of K&N products for their longevity, but I don't even know if they make a filter for the new prius yet. I, too am a fan of the sans hubcaps look (which is the only mod I can afford when I'm done modding my other vehicle, lol).

At the RPM range the Prius will most likely operate at, the K&N wouldn't do much. Only at or near WOT would you notice much, if any, difference.

JBL Sound system's bass is substantially improved with the 6x9 speakers. Only the deepest bass would need a subwoofer to help round it out, and you'd have to go at least 12" to compensate. It's certainly not a competition system, but far better response than the Gen II.

I'll be installing the illuminated door sills. Blue neon or LED's under the car would look sweet as well but I'm going to likely refrain from that.

Window tint is more of a necessity than a mod in AZ, and will likely be done on my car.

While the wheel covers may look better in the garage, I'll probably keep mine on to keep MPG up unless it's demonstrated that the difference is negligible.

I'm sure there will be a plethora of JDM or TRD spec mods in the near future (exhaust, suspension, etc.). Prius doesn't really have the stigma for being a modded car though - at least in this sense.

I really doubt that an exhaust system change would make much of a difference either. I do admire the note coming out of your Mustang. That is a nice low note! I have a 03 Corvette with Magnaflow’s but you definitely have the edge when it comes to sound.

Anything must have aftermarket goodie for the interior that you know about?

Not planning on doing anything, but someone on here said something about sigmaautomotive.com

It looks like they have some pretty cool stuff. ESPECIALLY if you hate the emblem in the front (I like it on Blizzard Pearl) there is a modesta kit that takes that away and makes the front look awesome!
