I absolutely love my 2nd gen Prius (2008 Touring). My only complaint is the lack of bluetooth for music. I've read through a few posts on here and haven't really found what I'm looking for. With the introduction of Magnetic charging, I am working on eliminating all daily use cords from my life, so I am really determined to find a solution that works for my Prius.

I just ordered this (image below)

I came across it from this website:

I like the clean look and how easy it seems like it will be to use. It's a bummer that it only has bluetooth 4.0 (not 5.0).

Has anyone used this or found anything that works really well for them? I've looked at switching out the CD player for an aftermarket product that has bluetooth, but most seem gimmicky with way too many buttons. I want a clean look. I also really like the compartment in the dashboard for holding my wallet and the only promising things I've found seem to require removal of the CD player AND the storage area below it.

I read a couple reviews and two of the reviews stuck as they were Orius owners (presumably Gen2). IIRC, both complained that this item did not fit the pop_out dash squares adjacent to the dash dimmer switch. Second complaint was failure for bluetooth to automatically reconnect with last device. IOW, does not sound like a perfect nor easy connection to cell.

This one works flawlessly. I have three in three different 2007 Toyota products. Fits in center console out of sight, out of mind. No installation required. Takes five minutes from opening the box to using it. One it’s paired to your phone, no further interaction needed. Pairs automatically when you power up car. $40
Only other thing you need is a $2 usb power plug which most people already have in console.

Chiming back in on this thread as I finally had to buy a phone without a headphone jack. This is a bit hard to explain but I'll do my best.

Using the headphone jack I could still attach my phone to bluetooth and have sound from my phone for music / books through the AV cable.

I can get the Firefly (post above) to connect for music / books, but this prevents me from connecting the phone to the car's bluetooth. Anyone else had this issue and found a fix?

EDIT. I read more and tried again. I had to forget the Firefly, then attach to Prius (for the phone) and then reconnect the Firefly. Now the phone works through the car's bluetooth and the music works through the new bluetooth enabled Firefly jack.

I thought I'd leave this here in case anyone comes back with the same question!
